Food Play

Food play realizes that food is seductive and sensual. Food play is a dialogue between you and your lover and the medium you’re working with. It is a unique language that involves the whole body speaking and listening to the food you are sculpting. The nourishing communion of this process involves all the elements of creation—Earth, Water, Air, and Passion. There is no substitute for the pleasure you derive from making your piece of sculpted food.

Become a wizard at food play and take up your tools: spoons, pots, secret ingredients, and knowledge of fairy tale lore to create your seductive fun memories. When you take up this mantle of wizardry, food is a fashion accessory. Food is your muse and amusement. Food is your inspiration and your clay.

Appeal to the senses, especially the eyes; visual stimulation can be very seductive. Dress with seduction in mind—choose warm, sexy colors and fabrics (these will also appeal to the sense of touch). Design an environment meant to excite: low lighting; sensual, scented candles; and soft music. Play your cards right, and you can lead to an awe-inspiring encounter. Your lover wants your attention and seduction more than he or she wants anything else on this planet.

Know what you are doing when it comes to food magic, and your date will be entranced. Practice hand-building techniques and learn how to mold food to create a specific shape. Master pinching, press molding (forming food using other objects), slabbing (joining food pieces together to form angles), and coiling (creating organic shapes through making coils). Remember that you are the source of your pleasure. Celebrate the life and the sacred erotic!

Eat, Learn, and Food Play

Food is your blank canvas. You can sculpt it, carve it, and make it look like just about anything. The possibilities are endless, and you will be amazed at how much fun you have. Try some of these fun shapes if you’re out of inspiration:

  1. Basic Shapes: Moon, stars, hearts, sun, smiling faces, simple animals.
  2. Erotic Forms: Male organ, breasts, handcuffs, naked bodies. (Then indulge in your passion!)
  3. Decorating Ideas: Place a few nuts or small candy bits for an extra splash of pizzazz.

You can get as messy as you want when you’re playing with your food. The dirtier, the better! Sit close and touch each other as you attend to the food. Watch each other’s finger movements and listen to the sound of the medium in your hands. Awaken your sensual mind.

Assemble the playing area by preparing the table (a tarp, piece of painter’s plastic or towels will protect it from permanent damage); light some candles and incense to invigorate the senses, something subtle not overpower the scents of the food you’re working with.

Play some invigorating background music. Any of these songs is a great place to start:

  • “Adventures in Afropea I (Zap’ Mama)
  • Spirit of the Forest (Baka Beyond)
  • Aye (Angelique Kidjo) The Adventures of Priscilla (Soundtrack)
  • Mustt Mustt (Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan)”

Now, choose a dough recipe (or use other foods as your clay). Once you’ve prepared it and are ready to start play, hand-shape the dough into sculptures of your choice. When you are done with your food wizardry, set your artwork aside to dry. Did you ever imagine that the kitchen could be so fun?

Food Play Dough Recipe

This basic playdough recipe yields a very pliable and long-lasting material with an elastic consistency. Make in big batches, and have fun!

1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup of warm water
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
1 teaspoon vegetable oil
¼ cup of salt

In a medium-sized pan, mix all the ingredients. Stir over medium heat until smooth. Remove from the pan and knead until all lumps are smoothed out. Place in a plastic bag or airtight container when cooled.

To add color to your playdough, you can add unsweetened Kool-Aid or food coloring during the cooking process. Kool-Aid will color it and make it smell great; if you’re looking for an odorless dough, go with food coloring.

Sun and Moon Clay Food Play

Great for sculpting sun, star, and moon shapes! Place the finished items in the sun to dry.

2 cups salt
1 cup cornstarch
1-¼ cups cold water

Mix the salt and ½ cup water in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat for four to five minutes, stirring until the salt is dissolved. Remove from heat. In a separate bowl, slowly add ¾ cup of water to the cornstarch. Stir until smooth, and then add to the salt mixture. Return to low heat and cook until smooth, stirring frequently. Store in a sealed plastic bag.

When firm, the dough can be worked by kneading. If the dough is too hard, cut off small pieces and knead until pliable, then recombine. If the dough sticks to the counter during rolling, lightly spray the counter or a breadboard with vegetable spray, just enough to prevent sticking.

Are you ready to use your Sun and Moon Clay? Place it on a tray or paper plate and model small (or bigger!) sun or moon sculptures, using small stones and other natural items as additional props. When your artwork is complete, find a sunny window ledge or a safe spot outdoors and let the sun do its drying work.

Food Play and Arousal

The key aspect of extending an offer of something exciting to come: the actual invitation or seduction is to illicit desire, excitement, and arousal, yet there is no one correct way to invite. Everyone reacts slightly differently. What turns one person on may turn the next person off. People are all different. What works one day, with the same person, may fail the next day.

“Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young. The greatest thing in life is to keep your mind young.” – Henry Ford.

Flirt, Tease, Talk, and Laugh

At one time in history, the most effective method of seduction and flirtation was known as “intellectual foreplay.” However, to achieve intellectual foreplay, you must be devoted to the mind first―flirt, tease, talk, and laugh!

Something about the uncertainty and anticipation of your erotic moment makes everything extra stimulating and intensely arouses both of your intellectual and emotional interests simultaneously.

  • “Push” = Show of Interest
  • “Pull” = Loss of Interest

Believe that you are a magnet that draws in, rather than a net that searches for and captures them. A magnet does not actively look for things. It just sits there and allows the magnetic, mysterious force of nature to draw metallic objects toward it. Similarly, you should seduce others by luring them to you! Make them curious about you by drawing them in, as they realize what a mystical and charming person you are.

Newton’s third law of motion: For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.
